EU targets Iranian delivery corporations in new sanctions • International South World

The European Union has widened its sanctions towards Iran over Tehran’s assist of Russia in its conflict with Ukraine, the European Fee mentioned on Monday.

The Fee mentioned it had added the Islamic Republic of Iran Delivery Traces (IRISL) and its director Mohammad Reza Khiabani – amongst others – to its sanctions checklist.

The recent sanctions goal vessels and ports used for transporting Iranian-made Unmanned Aerial Autos (UAVs), missiles, and associated applied sciences and elements. They embrace prohibiting any transaction with ports and locks owned, operated, or managed by the sanctioned people and entities.

The EU can also be sanctioning three Russian delivery corporations – MG Flot, VTS Dealer, and Arapax – for transporting Iranian weapons, together with drone components, throughout the Caspian Sea to resupply Russian troops in Ukraine.
