A 15-year-old boy was killed in Anand Vihar Tuesday, allegedly after being attacked by one other teenager with a picket stick.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam stated they recorded the assertion of the sufferer’s eight-year-old cousin, who was with him on the time. In response to the kid, he, the sufferer and a pal had been strolling to a temple “to eat at a bhandara” round 1 pm once they acquired into an altercation with a boy.
“Because the matter escalated, the accused picked up a picket stick and allegedly struck the sufferer a number of instances on the top from behind,” the DCP stated.
The sufferer fell to the bottom and the attacker fled the scene, the cousin advised police, including that the sufferer was rushed to Headgwar Hospital. Police stated the docs declared the 15-year-old lifeless on arrival.
“An investigation is underway and efforts are being made to nab the suspect,” stated DCP Gautam.
