U.Okay. and India-based manufacturing firm Civic Studios is presenting “Simply Like Her Mom,” a collection exploring the ladies’s rights motion via an intergenerational story, at India’s Movie Bazaar co-production market. Venice Movie Pageant winner Ruchika Oberoi (“Island Metropolis”) is in talks to direct.
The collection follows a daughter’s investigation into her mom’s disappearance, whereas analyzing the evolution of ladies’s rights in India from the Nineteen Seventies to current day.
Civic Studios, a media firm rooted in social affect storytelling, was based with the mission of making content material that drives change. The corporate slate contains initiatives from Gurinder Chadha and Pan Nalin.
