Tamil Nadu’s Shahrukh Khan has been handed the captain’s armband for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali event.
The 29-year-old, a profitable skipper for Lyca Kovai Kings within the Tamil Nadu Premier League, says it’s an honour to guide the State aspect.
“It’s my first time as a captain for Tamil Nadu. I’ve led in TNPL for a number of years and now (I’m main) Tamil Nadu, it’s a new factor for me. Clearly, captaining a State staff is a privilege,” Shahrukh advised The Hindu minutes after TN’s innings win over Railways in a Ranji Trophy match on the Narendra Modi Stadium right here on Saturday.
Shahrukh added that he was taking the problem one step at a time because the home red-ball season makes approach for white-ball fixtures until late January.
“I haven’t thought of something as a result of the event begins in per week’s time (November 23).
Proper place, proper time
“So, I’ll begin considering quickly about what to do. I don’t give something an excessive amount of thought. I simply suppose on the proper place and on the proper time… that’s extra essential,” Shahrukh added.
